3rabytak — Privacy Policy

In effect from 13 September 2026 · Android application ID com.arabytak.app · Contact mohamedelsebair@gmail.com

In short. 3rabytak keeps your car records on your phone. It has no account or server, and it does not transmit your records to us.

If you choose to copy a vehicle history summary, Android places the text on your clipboard so you can paste it into another app yourself. 3rabytak does not send that summary anywhere on its own.

The released app does not hold Android’s internet permission. That is not a policy choice we ask you to trust — the operating system will not let the app open a network connection at all.

1. Who we are

3rabytak is an Android app for vehicle owners in Egypt. It records what you noticed about your car, what was tried, what it cost, and what happened afterwards, so you have your own history in front of you when money is about to be spent.

For any question about this policy, write to mohamedelsebair@gmail.com.

2. What is stored, and where

Everything you enter is saved in a database inside the app, in the app’s private storage area on your phone:

If you add a photo of your car, it is kept as a picture file in the same private storage area, not in the database. 3rabytak keeps one photo for each car, and only the photo you chose. It saves a fresh copy of the picture without the details a phone stores inside a photo — where and when it was taken, and the camera’s make, model and serial number. Temporary copies made while the picture is handed over are deleted once the photo is saved, and any left by an interrupted save are cleared on a later start of the app.

3rabytak does not upload or back up this data. It is not automatically shared with any company or other app. If you intentionally copy a vehicle history summary, you control where you paste or share that copied text.

3. What we never ask for

3rabytak does not ask for, and has no field for:

There is no sign-up and no sign-in, because there are no accounts.

Free-text fields — notes, problem descriptions, workshop names — accept whatever you type. If you choose to type personal information into a note, it is stored on your phone like everything else, and it still goes nowhere.

4. No internet access

The released version of 3rabytak does not declare Android’s INTERNET permission. The app therefore cannot connect to the internet, upload anything, or contact any server.

As a direct consequence, 3rabytak has:

5. Permissions the app requests

PermissionWhy
Notificationsto show the reminders you created
Run at startupto restore your reminders after the phone reboots
Vibrateso a reminder can vibrate
Wake lockso a reminder can wake the screen at the moment it is due

3rabytak does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, storage, exact alarms, or battery-optimisation exemptions.

Adding a photo of your car needs none of these. Android’s own photo picker, or your camera app, hands 3rabytak only the single picture you choose.

5a. The opening animation

This version opens with a short brand animation. It is a video file packaged inside the app. It is not streamed, it is not downloaded, it contains no camera or microphone input, and it neither reads nor records anything about you.

6. Reminders

Reminders are scheduled by Android on your phone. The text shown is the text you typed. Nothing is sent to a push-notification service, because there is none.

If the phone restarts, 3rabytak re-registers your reminders with Android so they still arrive.

7. Market prices and warning lights

3rabytak ships with a small set of observed Egyptian market prices and explanations of dashboard warning lights. This content is packaged inside the app and is only read.

It is a record of what was observed at a point in time, not a live feed, and it can be out of date. 3rabytak shows how many observations a price is based on and when they were made, so you can judge it.

8. What 3rabytak does not do

3rabytak does not diagnose your car, does not tell you what to repair, does not rate workshops, and does not verify what a workshop told you. It records and shows back what you entered.

9. Deleting your data

Because nothing is ever sent anywhere, there is no copy elsewhere to request the deletion of.

10. No backup or restore

This version of 3rabytak has no backup and no restore. If you lose the phone, reset it, or uninstall the app, your records cannot be recovered — not by you and not by us.

3rabytak can copy a vehicle history summary onto your clipboard so you can paste it somewhere — a message to a mechanic, a note to yourself. You choose which sections it contains and you see the exact text before anything is copied. That summary is a document you can read; it is not a backup, and it cannot put your records back.

We state this plainly so the difference between a shareable summary and a recoverable backup is clear.

11. Children

3rabytak is not directed at children. It does not transmit personal data to us from any user, regardless of age.

12. Security

Your records are protected by the security of your phone. Android keeps each app’s storage private to that app, but anyone who can unlock your phone can open 3rabytak and read what is in it. Use a screen lock.

We cannot access your data, and therefore cannot recover it, reset it, or hand it to anyone.

13. Changes to this policy

If a future version of 3rabytak changes what it stores, or gains the ability to send anything off the device, this policy will be updated and published before that version is released.
